Family and friends. Geoff Petrulis here. As you may have heard, our mom is going through a difficult time with her health. Four days after celebrating her 87th birthday on March 4th - at home - she was checked in to St. Clare Hospital in Baraboo, Wisconsin (3/8/2024)....
She was having difficulty breathing with her home oxygen system. Greg and I thought it best to get her to the hospital and assess her condition. At this time, they are keeping her there. She now requires 'high flow' oxygen to keep her O2 saturation at a healthy level. Doctors have not been very optimistic at this time. We are waiting for 24 hours to get more information, but as of Sunday afternoon the word is not great. Other than prayers and faith, it looks like hospice and keeping her comfortable may be the only thing we can do.
***Now mom has been pretty sick before... and surprised us all, so we're not giving up!***
For those of you who may not know, mom has been suffering from Pulmonary Pneumonitis for some time now. Please join me in praying for healing, comfort and God's Will for mom. I don't have much more information at this time. I know that information is important to all of those who love Joan. Greg is manning the fort and managing mom's care in Wisconsin. I talk to him often and will update here when I have more information. I hope to be in Wisconsin on Monday evening. With Love, Geoff
